Ulf Lidman

I have been working for 35 years with people undergoing crises and conflicts. The experience I have gained from all of these encounters is extensive and multifaceted. Seeing the person, the individual, is crucial. Only then can you offer support. Techniques, methods and models for handling and processing crises and conflicts are far less important than the needs and social situation of the individual.

Training

Training programs and courses are firmly rooted in real-life conditions and provide insights that are practical and useful in everyday activities.

Leaders

The role of managers and leaders cannot be overestimated. A leader who has the trust of their employees can get them to perform wonders.

Workplaces and groups of employees

Customized training based on the unique needs of your workplace. The general focus is on working with employee motivation in combination with crisis management

Individual

These programs are aimed at individuals who want to enhance their own skills. The employer is not involved in the training.

Who is Ulf Lidman?

I have been working for 35 years with people undergoing crises and conflicts. The experience I have gained from all of these encounters is extensive and multifaceted. Seeing the person, the individual, is crucial. Only then can you offer support. Techniques, methods and models for handling and processing crises and conflicts are far less important than the needs and social situation of the individual.

– Master’s degree in cross-cultural crisis management and worldviews with a specialization in family and relationship therapy.

Specialist expertise in cross-cultural counseling related to crisis, conflict and substance abuse with nearly 40 years of experience in crisis work across four continents.

Regular collaboration with public agencies, organizations and companies.

– Expertise in training employees who deal with opposition and aggression with elements of violence in group homes, refugee centers and in individual and family care facilities.

– Popular trainer and speaker facilitating positive development at workplaces with different cultures, religions and ethnicities where there is a risk of confrontation.

It’s not dangerous to be angry – it’s normal.

For example, in connect with:

  • Death

  • Illness

  • Divorce

  • Personal bankruptcy

  • Unemployment

  • Abuse in the family

  • Midlife crisis

  • Bullying

  • Violence and threats

Each individual experience of a crisis is unique. I offer training and insight through an individually tailored process for first coping with the crisis and then processing it. Individual needs always take priority over methods.

  • The individual always has preferential right of interpretation over their own life.
  • The task of the crisis supporter is to help the individual find the crisis management and processing tools that work for that specific person.
  • Talking is just one of many ways to deal with crises.

Many people seek medical care during life crises and hope that psychiatric drugs will provide the answer to their pain and sorrow. It is my opinion that this should not be an option for healthy people going through normal life crises. My training programs and courses are designed to provide the skills needed in order to help people cope with crises, and to offer support when it is time to move on, process and come out of the crisis as a strong and more experienced individual.
